Bespoke Art project for Student Roost Pittodrie Street Aberdeen.
Multiple series of bespoke pieces were designed for this interior referencing Aberdeen rich history and shipping industries, as well as curated series of artwork by other artists such as the set for the cinema room, and games room.
Main entrance lobby - a striking and colourful collection of bespoke harbour/shipping crane art was designed.
Social area - series of bespoke 3d geometric industrial sealife art connecting the rich sealife with industrial elements such as chains, shipping containers, pipes etc.
Meeting Rooms - one pair of bespoke still life art focussing on the rich and busy shipping industry. One futher pair of bespoke still life art focussing on the large number of haulage/trucking seen in the city.
Cinema room - movie posters were chosen which had subtle connections to the history and industries of the city. For example, "Harry Potter", as Aberdeenshire is very populated with castles, "Jaws" for the sealife connection, and "The Birds" as there are many seagulls in Aberdeen.
Kitchen Area - a set of specific taxidermy insects and fossils with relevance to the city were selected with relevance. E.g a peacock butterfly as a peacock is a traditional bird seen on castle estate, a shark tooth for the sealife reference, and a stag beetle for a Scottish reference.
