Alternative Movie Poster Art

A selection of alternative movie posters have been carefully chosen which are subtly connected to the location of the building, through its industries, icons, and history. They also compliment each other as well as the interior design theme. Below is a selection of examples from Student Roost accomodation projects in Aberdeen, Sheffield, and Glasgow. The latter being more of selection of comlimentary designs rather than references to the city.

Superman - Man of Steel (Sheffield is known as the steel city), Pulp Fiction (the music band pulp are from Sheffield), Lord Of The Rings (metal forging), Charlie And The Chocolate Factory (confectionary) Phase 4 (worker ants - factories), Robocop (prosthetics), Blade Runner (cutlery fabrication).

St Mungos, Glasgow

A selection of recent and cult movies from different artists, in styles and colours that compliment each other as well as the interior design.

A selection of iconic movies with movies that reference elements of Aberdeen. Various artists. No Country For Old Men, Pulp Fiction, Life Aquatic (oceanography), Jurassic Park (fossils), 2001 A Space Odyssey, Gremlins, Die Hard.

Various artists. Game of Thrones (castles and the North), Jaws (sealife), Harry Potter (castles and education - there are loads of castles in Aberdeenshire), The Great Gatsby (wealth and partying), Life Aquatic (oceanography) , Batman (city life), Duel (trucks - lots of trucking in the area) Drive (driving/determination) Titanic (ships - big shipping industry in Aberdeen), The Birds (the city is well known for having lots of BIG seagulls)
